Arkansas Defeat 'Hard to Take' for Auburn, Says Hugh Freeze

Auburn coach Hugh Freeze made it clear that the Tigers lost to a lesser team when they fell 24-14 to Arkansas on Saturday. It's the second time this season that's happened.

Speaking Monday night on Tiger Talk with the Auburn Sports Network, Freeze said Auburn's latest home loss, much like the Sept. 7 defeat to Cal, was especially frustrating because of the quality of the opposition.

"I mean no offense whatsoever to Arkansas ... I love [coach] Sam Pittman, I hope he wins the rest of his games, but I'm telling you, the hard truth is if we play them nine more times, we beat them nine times," Freeze said Monday. "That's what's hard to take, and it's hard for our fans, I'm sure, and it's certainly hard for us."

Oh we hear ya Coach, having lost our play on Auburn, one of two college football picks at the G911 Sports Hub (3-2 on the day however).

It won't get any easier this upcoming weekend as they host 3-1 SEC newcomer Oklahoma.  Auburn comes into this game as a +2.5 home dog with the line having dropped to -1.5.

Sagarin gives us a number of 2.29. This one we'll say is right on the money.

Our model suggests little in the way of any edge with this one.

Brett Favre Reveals Parkinson's Diagnosis

Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre disclosed during a congressional hearing on Tuesday that he was recently diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, a degenerative nervous system disorder that causes parts of the brain to deteriorate and affects movement.

Speaking before the House Ways and Means Committee, Favre spoke about Prevacus, a company making a concussion drug that received $2 million of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) funds. Favre was the top investor in Prevacus, and text messages show he began asking state officials for help securing funds for the company in November 2018.

"Sadly, I also lost an investment in a company that I believed was developing a breakthrough concussion drug I thought would help others," Favre said during opening remarks. "And I'm sure you'll understand why it's too late for me, because I've recently been diagnosed with Parkinson's. This is also a cause dear to my heart."

Rookie Jayden Daniels Leads Commanders Past Bengals on MNF

"He's different," Reaves said of Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels.

Defensive tackle Jon Allen was more direct.

"He is the answer," Allen said.

Nobody in that locker room would disagree. Not after a night in which he completed 21 of 23 passes for 254 yards and two touchdowns in a 38-33 victory over the Bengals on "Monday Night Football." Not after he delivered a game-clinching 27-yard touchdown pass to receiver Terry McLaurin while being crunched by a blitzing defender.

"I think he grew up tonight," McLaurin said. "I'm so excited for him because now as a rookie, once you see those throws, you get more confidence. And I think his confidence is just going through the roof right now."

Arizona will host Washington as a -3.5 favorite Sunday. This one appears as if it will stay above the 3.

We didn't have the updated Sagarin Ratings, which should show an improvement for Washington.  Based on the Week 3 ratings, we get a number of 5.87, indicating the potential here for an underlay.  Our model does not provide an edge if that's the case.
